Gospel Meetings

On the 12th December we welcomed William Horsbrugh of Pickering who encouraged us to be bold in our sharing of the Gospel.

On the 19th December our Carol service was led by Bruce Clark of Burniston and we were encouraged by the presence of several teenage girls who have been contacted through the 11+ group.

On 26th December Peter Jones led us in a consideration of verses from Luke chapter 2.

Immediately after leading our meeting of the 5th December our Brother Graham Elliot contracted shingles and we ask for your prayers for his complete recovery.

Thank the Lord for journeying mercies during this time when road conditions are adverse.

Gospel Meetings

On 28th November Jonathan Gibson of Harrogate led our meeting and gave us ministry from Luke chapter 8. There we find several examples of what God can do to transform lives and several examples of the responses of people to the Word of God.

Tonight [5th December] Graham Elliot of our own assembly led our meeting ministering to us from the early chapters of the first Book of Samuel and encouraging us to seek the Will of God in all areas of our lives especially those that are difficult or problematic and to commit ourselves to fully trust in Him to work things out for us, knowing that he always seeks our highest good.

Next Sunday afternoon d.v. we shall be conducting a Carol Service for the residents of Elsinor Residential Home. During the next two weeks we will be meeting local residents as we distribute calendars and tracts. Your prayers for these activities would be welcome.
