Sunday 7th October

Brian Dunning (York) spoke. He spoke about:
- The place of sacrifice (Exodus 12). We need to come to the place of sacrifice to know our sins forgiven. Jesus became our sacrifice.
- The place of purchase (Exodus 12). Jesus has ransomed His people with His own blood.
- The need to make Jesus personal to us; we need a relationship with Him.
- The perfection of the lamb in Exodus 12 symbolised  the perfection of Jesus who lived a sinless perfect life. By doing so He was able to be our sacrifice for sin. God accepted His sacrifice on our behalf.
- Pain (Exodus 21 vs 1-6). The Christian pathway involves suffering and we must be willing to suffer for Jesus Christ.
- Place of submission (Deut 6 vs 1-4). We must submit to the will of God when we become a Christian.
- Pursuit. and Priority As a Christian we are to pursue after the things of God (Deut 11 v 22) and make them our top priority.
