Speaker: Jack Douglas (Cleator Moor)
Missionary Report
Jack gave a missionary report of his work in Papua New Guinea (PNG). Jack and his wife settled with the Pawaian tribe in and lived there for 37 years. They learned the language over many years and translated the Bible. Today many of the Pawaians have become Christians and their lives have been transformed by the gospel of Jesus Christ.
Gospel Meeting
Reading: Acts 4: 1-12
Topic: Mediators
There is only one name that can save us, the name of Jesus.
We are enemies of God the Bible tells us (Colossians 1:21) and our sin separates us from God.
God's standard is holy perfection.
Jesus became our mediator, bearing our sin on the cross, to bring us to God if we believe on Him.
'Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.' Acts 4:12
