Gospel Meeting

This evening the meeting was led by Mark Reynolds of SASRA, who has for the last twelve years been stationed at Catterick. All new recruits to the Army pass through this barracks which means that by now a substantial proportion of serving soldiers have come under the sound of the Gospel and many have been led to faith in Jesus Christ.

His approach this evening was anecdotal but there were also many Scriptural references:Psalm 66 10 -11, 1 Peter1 1-9, Malachi 3 3, 2 Corinthians 3 18, Job 23 10, Psalm 34 8, Rev 21 8-9 and John 10. Food for the soul!

Gospel Hall News

Peter and Audrey Jones continue to make good recovery from their hip repair operations but are suffering with colds. We pray that the Lord will strengthen and encourage them. We also pray similarly for Terry and Iris Benstead. We pray for those who will be attending the Yorkshire Bible Study Week in Whitby next week and especially for those who have the responsibility of organising it, Philip Kaye and Jonathan Gibson.

I was pleased to join with saints at Loampit Gospel Hall, London around the Lord's Table during a weekend away and delighted to share fellowship with senior members of staff from the Midland Bible Institute, Jamaica.

I thank the Lord for journeying mercies and for His protection and care.

On 3rd October the speaker at the Gospel Meeting was Brian Dunning of York, on the 10th October Keith Clayton and on 17th October Stuart Gordon. The speaker this coming Lord's Day will be Mark Reynolds of SASRA (d.v.)
