Gospel Meeting 27/09/2015

Mr. Jack Douglas read Daniel 10 vs.4- 11 vs.1.
Spiritual Battle.
Ephesians 6 vs.12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
The enemy is a deceiver and father of lies.
We must rely on the truth of God's Word.
Only through Christ can we have a relationship with God as He has gained the victory at the cross when He died and made peace through His blood.
We must make a deliberate decision for Christ and make Him our priority, no compromises no chinks in our armour.
Ephesians 6 vs.10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.
11  Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
12  For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
13  Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
14  Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;
15  And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;
16  Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.
17  And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:
18  Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;

If we want to come to God it must be by the Lamb and not our own efforts, He is our sacrificial, suffering Lamb.
1/ The necessity of the Lamb.
2/ The provision of the Lamb.
3/ The slaying of the Lamb.
4/ The character of the Lamb.
5/ The personality of the Lamb.
6/ The identity of the Lamb.
7/ The Christhood of Jesus.

He is A Lamb, The Lamb, but is He Your Lamb. We must fully trust in the Lamb and His death at Calvary for forgiveness and acceptance by God. We must not and cannot rely on ourselves and what we can do.

Gospel Meeting 13/09/2015

Dr. Gareth Crossley read John 4 vs.1-26.
Gareth began with a comparison between chapter 3 and chapter 4.
Nicodemus and the woman of Samaria The Lord Jesus knew exactly what to say to each to expose their need in a decisive yet gentle way. The teacher needed to know that he must be born again, and the woman needed to know that her sin had to be dealt with. Jesus Christ is the answer,
John 3 vs.16  For God SO LOVED the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Then speaking about chapter 4
1/ The Purpose of God.
2/ The Knowledge of God.
3/ The Gift of God

1/ He must needs go through Samaria the woman was completely unaware of the appointment she had with the Saviour, but Jesus knew her and was going to meet with her, and He knew the outcome.

2/ She had some knowledge of God, she was aware that the Messiah would come and bless the nations.
Psalm 53 vs.1 The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God.

3/ Isaiah 9 vs.6  For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.
Romans 6 vs.23  For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
The Lord gently highlighted her sin which she acknowledged. We must see ourselves from God's perspective - holiness, righteousness, purity and repent of our sin and receive new life spiritual life forgiveness, our sins removed as for as the east is from the west. He died at Calvary to make this possible He shed His precious blood, He gave Himself for me. Come to Christ and He will give you rest.

Gospel Meeting 06/09/2015

Mr. Hector Stewart read Hebrews 2 vs.1-4.
1 Therefore we ought to give the more earnest heed to the things which we have heard, lest at any time we should let them slip.
2  For if the word spoken by angels was stedfast, and every transgression and disobedience received a just recompence of reward;
3  How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation; which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed unto us by them that heard him;
4  God also bearing them witness, both with signs and wonders, and with divers miracles, and gifts of the Holy Ghost, according to his own will?

People knew about God and the Lord Jesus Christ but didn't understand the significance of the message, or didn't give it the priority it deserved.
Chapter 1 exults Christ, but does it matter to you we should give these things the more earnest heed.
We are saved from our sins and forgiven through His death on the cross if we put our faith and confidence in Him.
"Not let them slip"
Don't put these things off, God's judgement can be removed from us by trusting Christ.
Don't let them drift, anchor.
Acts 17 vs.30 but now commandeth all men every where to repent:
How shall we escape?
Christ died for all my sins even those I can't remember. He shed His blood and bore the judgement and paid the price for our in. We can have peace without fear and go to Heaven not Hell.
This Salvation is available to all, only God can forgive sins we can be forgiven through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ
