Gospel Meeting 28/12/2014

Mr. David Flett read Jeremiah 8 vs.4-9 & 19-22, Luke 16 vs.19-31, and John 3 vs.16-17
The harvest is past, the summer is ended, and we are not saved.
How was 2014 for you did you have a good year? How is your soul?
Like Israel are you not saved, not saved and thinking about it. Time is short death is not the end you can be saved, forgiven, set free, go to Heaven. Give your heart to Jesus.
Three reasons that prevented Israel from being saved;
1/ Stubbornness to the will of God.
2/ Foolishness to the Word of God.
3/ Blindness to the coming judgement of God.

1/  Proverbs 14vs.12 There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.
Change your way and accept God's way - repentance and faith go hand in hand. God is not willing that any should perish He sent His Son to die on the cross because of our sin. Repent or perish don't leave it too late.

2/ They rejected and changed the Word of God. Take heed and receive the Word of God.
Psalm 119 vs.105 Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.

3/ The judgement of God is coming see the signs. God is a good God and a severe God. The blood of Jesus Christ cleanses us from all sin. Don't leave it too long and remain NOT SAVED.

Luke 7 vs.19 ¶  And John calling unto him two of his disciples sent them to Jesus, saying, Art thou he that should come? or look we for another?
20  When the men were come unto him, they said, John Baptist hath sent us unto thee, saying, Art thou he that should come? or look we for another?
116 DOWN FROM HIS GLORY
Do you have doubts about the authenticity of the coming of the Saviour, have you ever wondered about the big picture, about life about the future, we get so caught up in the moment. What about God, why did He send His Son to be the Saviour? How is that relevant to me.
It was relevant to Mary and Joseph, the shepherds , the wise men, Herod, and later also to the Romans, The Israelites had waited long for a Saviour and this was a real turning point in history, and also in God’s plan for man. He is just as relevant today, He came to bring peace on earth and you might well say there is no peace today but individuals can have peace with God because of the fact that Jesus was born He grew He died on a cross to bear the judgement of God for sin and through faith in Him we can enjoy  Salvation that He offers to us and have peace with God and enjoy the peace of God.

Gospel Meeting 14/12/2014

Andrew and David Richardson spoke about "Why the Bible is so important."
Scientifically and historically it is sound and there are no contradictions in it.
They read Deuteronomy 30 vs.16-20, Daniel 5 vs.24-31 and Genesis 3 vs.15.
God Keeps His promises.
The birth of Jesus Christ was promised in Genesis 3 vs.15, He was born of a virgin and He conquered death.
We fall short but He was perfect and He paid the price for our sin, He paid the debt that we owed God for our sin.
John 14 vs.1-6 In this passage Jesus Christ who is God and man promises to come back for those who trust Him and we will spend Eternity with Him, but we must repent and believe.

Gospel Meeting 07/12/2014

Mr.Graham Swift read 2 Peter 3 vs.1-10 "The Last Days"
There are scoffers who will believe anything except what God says.
The wicked were destroyed at the time of the flood and there is a coming judgement.
Graham likened it to the sinking of the Titanic, many people trusted it it and thought it was unsinkable even when it was going down they thought they were safer on board rather than a lifeboat.
what are we trusting in, are we blindly following something whose end is destruction?
Many people believe they are born, live and then die and they have no fear of God and no thought of accountability to Him.
Noah's Ark saved him and his family from the flood it was designed by God and got them safely through the judgement of God on the wickedness of the earth.
Jesus is an Ark and we can be safe in Him, He is our Salvation if we repent and trust Him for His saving work at Calvary.
Romans 8 vs.1 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus,

Gospel Meeting 30/11/2014

Mr. Brian Dunning read Psalm 23
The Psalm speaks about a personal relationship with God.
God's perfect provision for His sheep.
God's preservation of the sheep.
God's presence with the sheep.
God's protection of the sheep.
God's preparation for His own.

God provides for our needs and yet if we have the Shepherd He is all we need.
He leads and guides us, He restores us. He doesn't ignore our sin He deals with it.
Death is a certainty it's the timing that is unknown but for His own there is light beyond death.
"The sky not the grave is our goal."
He knows us, He rebukes us, He encourages us.
We will have enemies but He protects us and gives us more than we can take in.
Goodness, mercy, grace, glory.
We are going to Heaven if we have Jesus.
Psalm 22 vs.1 ¶  « To the chief Musician upon Aijeleth Shahar, A Psalm of David. » My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me? why art thou so far from helping me, and from the words of my roaring?

16  For dogs have compassed me: the assembly of the wicked have inclosed me: they pierced my hands and my feet.
17  I may tell all my bones: they look and stare upon me.

31  They shall come, and shall declare his righteousness unto a people that shall be born, that he hath done this.
Psalm 22 comes before Psalm 23 and speaks about the death on the cross of the Lord Jesus to bear God's judgement for sin. He died for me. Come in repentance and faith then He will be your Shepherd and you will enjoy the benefits of being His.
Your future will not be in Hell but in Heaven with Him.
