Gospel Meeting 24/08/2014

Mr.Colin Lamb read John 14 vs.1-14
vs.6  Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
Are you lost.
Jesus is the only way He said  I AM a title of God.

Luke 9 vs.35 And there came a voice out of the cloud, saying, This is my beloved Son: hear him.
We should trust Him and put our faith in Him (see Jesus only).
He is the only acceptable way the only available way.
They crucified Him extremely cruel and painful death. He did it because He loves us.
He rose again and is alive today He is a living Saviour.
He is the door, the light there is an open way.
There is new life in Him a new and living way.
Man is sinful God is Holy we can be reconciled through Jesus Christ and be forgiven. It is free for all.
He that has the Son has life.
Death is not the end there is Heaven or Hell you are either in or out their is no sitting on the fence.

Gospel Meeting 17/08/2014

Mr. Stephen Clegg read Romans 5 vs.6-8
6 ¶  For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly.
7  For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die.
8  But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
Stephen started by telling how that many people had laid down their lives for others and they still are through the wars that are still going on.
The death of the Lord Jesus was different, God sent His Son to die for us because we are all sinners we don't meet God's standard which is perfection.
God's rescue package was planned before the world was formed, The Holy Son of God went into battle for me and got the victory. He cried out while on the cross "It is Finished" many battles drag on not this one.
He died, was taken down, was buried, He rose again, He ascended, and He is coming again.
God poured out the judgement for our sin upon His Son and He bore it for us.
We need to come in repentance and faith to Him who shed His precious blood to gain the victory for us.

Gospel Meeting 10/08/2014

Mr. Joshua Kaye read Mark 10 vs.46-52
Bartimaeus.
How can we relate to Bartimaeus.
Bartimaeus had a great problem/hindrance he could not help himself, because of this he could not work to support himself etc.
Our problem/hindrance is sin it is the root cause of our problems.
His problem was solved through the Lord Jesus. His darkness was turned to light.
Satan has blinded the eyes of people we need the light of the Gospel to shine in.
Sin causes Eternal separation from God in Hell, our communion with God is broken.
We need to call out to God "Lord save me."
Bartimaeus didn't let others put him off the Lord was interested in him and stopped He loved him.
He is interested in us and loves us He wants us to turn from our sin and come to Him in faith.
Bartimaeus believed that Jesus was the Messiah the Son of God, we must believe that too. He died on the cross He was the sacrifice for us, God punished Him for my sin and yours, He paid the price so that we don't have to He shed His precious blood.
We have to respond in faith and repentance and leave our past and follow Him.
All that the World offers is worthless, our life can be changed we should be saved then baptized. Bartimaeus seized the opportunity, accept Him while you can don't let Him pass you by.
