Gospel Meeting 26/07/2015

Mr. Stuart Gordon read Luke 5 vs.1-11, 21-32.
"WHO JESUS IS" and what He has done.
He had power and authority.
Only God can forgive sins - they were right He is God the Son of God.
He lives now in Heaven.
John 20 vs.30  And many other signs truly did Jesus in the presence of his disciples, which are not written in this book:
31  But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name.
We must do as He says, He is the creator God is greater than man but many won't accept there is a God because they don't want to be accountable to Him.
We must accept that we are sinners and fully trust Jesus Christ and follow Him.

We can be completely forgiven through faith as the paralytic was completely healed and he could even walk straight away.
Our sins were dealt with once and for all at Calvary when Jesus died and paid the full price for our sin one sacrifice for sin forever. God heaped the judgement for all our sin on Him. He cried "It is finished."
He has power to forgive sin and we can be saved/ forgiven and be fit for Heaven.

Gospel Meeting 19/07/2015

Mr. Jim Locke read Luke 23 vs.33, Acts 2 vs.22-24, 1 Corinthians 15 vs.3-9, Ephesians 2 vs.8-9, 13-17, 1 John 4 vs.9-10.
"Why did Jesus die."
Acts 2 vs.23  Him, being delivered by the determinate counsel and foreknowledge of God, ye have taken, and by wicked hands have crucified and slain:

Ephesians 2 vs.16  And that he might reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross, having slain the enmity thereby:

1 John 4 vs.9  In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him.
10  Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.

"Why did Jesus die."
The hatred of men.

He was the only one who could be our Saviour by dying for us on the cross because He was sinless, He shed His blood that we might be forgiven.

It was God's plan.

Christ died for our sins to reconcile us to God.

To manifest the love of God.

All have sinned and cannot enter Heaven, but He has bridged the gap, the only way to Heaven is through Jesus Christ.
We may face some opposition if we trust Him as our Saviour but we will have a glorious Eternity in Heaven. Don't run away from Him repent and put your faith in His finished work.
Life is short do it now. He loves you and wants to reconcile you and bring you near.

Gospel Meeting 12/07/2015

Mr. Stephen Clegg read Exodus 17 vs.1-7, Numbers 20 vs.7-13, Deuteronomy 34 vs.1-6.
Stephen gave us an outline of the life of Moses and how that he was prepared and used by God for great things.
God brought enough water from the rock to satisfy the prople, but the second time Moses disobeyed and suffered the judgement of God.
 Malachi 3 vs.6  For I am the LORD, I change not;
God is Holy, Just and a God of Love, He must be obeyed.
Sin will never enter Heaven and we are all sinners.

Romans 5 vs.6 For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly.

1 Corinthians 15 vs.3  For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;
4  And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:

Galatians 2 vs.20 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.

Acts 16 vs.31 And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved,

Acts 17 vs.30  but now commandeth all men every where to repent:

We must do it God's way  and obey Him to receive Salvation.

Gospel Meeting 05/07/2015

Mr. Malcolm Blanche read Luke 2 vs.21-35, 12 vs.13-21 and 23 vs.39-43.
Simeon - Ready for Heaven.
Farmer - This Night thy Soul shall be Required of Thee.
Thief - Remember Me.

Simeon had peace when he saw the Lord.
He made peace through the blood of His cross.
He died the sinners death although not a sinner there was no sin in Him.
To be with Christ is very far better.

The farmer thought his goods were his, and that he had a long time but he left any thought of God out.
Do we thank God for what we have but most of all do we thank God for His Son who died for us.

The thief realised that he deserved to be hanging there, A display of God's mercy.
The thief realised that Jesus didn't deserve to be there as He had done nothing amiss.
The thief said remember me in your kingdom - Jesus said today you will be with me in Paradise, more than the thief could ever have expected.
It is finished it is all on the basis of His death. Acknowledge your sin, Acknowledge His Holiness and put your faith in Him and His finished work at Calvary.
