Gospel Meeting 28/02/2016

Dr. Gareth Crossley read Titus 2 vs.1-14.
Titus 2 vs.11 ¶  For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men,
12  Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world;

Grace  is love for the unlovely.
God's
Riches
At
Christ's
Expense.
 Jesus Christ is the perfect man and yet He was humbled, mocked, crucified. He suffered more than anyone ever has or will.
God's Son came into this world to deliver us from the penalty and power of sin, what an amazing Gospel.
We cannot earn it God has done it all His Son paid the price, bore the judgement for us.
He doesn't just teach us He trains us so that our attitude changes, we are under new management. We are indwelt by His Spirit. We  must say no to ungodliness and worldly lusts, and we must live soberly, righteously, and godly.
A change psychologically, socially and theologically.
We should glorify God and enjoy Him. Love Him, Worship Him and Serve him

Gospel Meeting 21/02/2016.

Mr. Andrew Richardson read John 6 vs.15-21, Mark 6 vs.45-52, and Matthew 14 vs.22-33.
"Jesus Walking On The Water."
The people wanted to make Jesus a King but that is not why He came, He came to save, He came in humility.
The disciples were afraid but He drew near to comfort them. As He does with us, Jesus saw them toiling. Jesus knows and He comes to our aid.
Peter recognizes the Lord and His power, but Peter starts to sink and cries out Lord save me and Jesus saves him.
1/ The Sailors, 2/ The Saviour, 3/ The Shore.

1/ The disciples obeyed even though they must have had doubts. We must obey Him and His commandments. We need to grasp who He is. He is the Son of God the Saviour, the only one who can take away our sin. Peter had the faith to step out of the boat, will you accept or reject His call.

2/ Jesus came to die in our place so that we might be saved, and then when life gets tough He comes to us to help us through. We must be willing to open the door of our hearts to Him. Receive Him into your life.

3/ We are on a journey.

Matthew 7 vs.13  Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:
14  Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

Luke 16 vs.23  And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom.
24  And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame.

The broad road leads to destruction and Hell and that is easy. the hard way is the narrow way but it leads to Heaven to spend eternity with God who loves us.
Jesus provided a way by dying for us on the cross He took the punishment for our sin on Himself, put your trust in Him for Salvation.

Gospel Meeting 14/02/2014

Mr. Liam Reese read Mark 10 vs.17-27.

Acts 4 vs.12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

What do you think of the Gospel message? You can't ignore it even if you don't like it!
It is the truth and Jesus Christ is still alive and still saving souls.
You cannot be saved by good deeds nor can you buy your way to Heaven. You have to have total reliance on the finished work of the Lord Jesus at Calvary and put your complete faith in Him.
Come as you are, He knows your sin He knows your heart and He loves you. God is looking for faith in your heart.
Matthew 6 vs.19 Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal:
20  But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal:
21  For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.
Don't trust riches, trust God.
Hebrews 9 vs.27  And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:

Jeremiah  17 vs.10 I the LORD search the heart, I try the reins, even to give every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings.

A Christians destination is Heaven, if you are not a Christian your destination is Hell.
With men it is impossible but all things are possible with God.
Repent and trust in the death of the Lord Jesus on the cross He paid the price and took the punishment for your sin, and God accepts His work and is satisfied. If we are in Him we have His righteousness and not God's condemnation.
We can have the gift of Salvation through the shed blood of the Lord Jesus. Accept Him now while there is time.

Gospel Meeting 07/02/2016

Mr. Jack Douglas read Romans 8 vs.1-14, Romans 3 vs.10-20.
"NO CONDEMNATION"
We are guilty before God who is the highest judge.
All have sinned so we face the sentence of death, there are no appeals.
We are prisoners of sin. What the law was powerless to do God did.
Under the law animals were sacrificed as a substitute for the people.
Jesus died as our substitute and paid the penalty for our sin.
God became a perfect man without sin. Pilate could find no fault in Him.
His sinless sacrifice met the requirements of  God's justice.
 John 1 vs.29 The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.
He died as a man, and He is the one mediator between God and men.
How can we become in Christ and escape God's judgement, count on Him repent and believe.
Romans 8 vs.1 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

Gospel Meeting 31/01/2016

REVELATION 5 vs.1-14. REVELATION 20 vs.1-3, 10-15, 21 vs.1-4.

I would like to speak tonight about Jesus Christ the Alpha and Omega the Beginning and the End, the Lion and the Lamb.
There is a choice to be made to be in Christ and have life, or to ignore or refuse His offer of Salvation and suffer Eternal separation from God and judgement.
         I would like to pick some things out of Revelation, I don’t profess to be an expert and some of it is quite difficult to interpret, but tonight we will be simple and straightforward. It is all about Jesus Christ.

Colossians 1 vs.16  For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:
17  And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.

He created all things in the beginning and we read in Revelation that He will resolve all things on earth. God’s plans and purposes will always be worked out, He is in control.
In Revelation chapter 5 we read about Jesus being the only one who could and had the right to open the seals which I don’t intend going into detail about but just to say the seals initiated the events that draw things on this earth to an end. It is interesting to see that He is described as a lion and a lamb.
    He is the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world, He was led as a lamb to the slaughter when He was crucified at Calvary and bore the judgement of God for us, He shed His precious blood.
    He is also described as the Lion of the tribe of Judah and that conveys to us strength and courage the sort of characteristics you would expect from someone who was about to do something nobody else could do, I think it is lovely that when John looked he saw a lamb which conveys to us gentleness and meekness.

It made me think of that Hymn;
“Join all the glorious names
Of wisdom, love, and power,
That mortals ever knew,
That angels ever bore:
All are too mean to speak His worth,
Too mean to set my Saviour forth.”

“He is altogether lovely.”

The final judgement of God the Great White Throne is where God deals with Satan death and sin once and for all, and everyone will be judged for their sin and they all will be cast into the Lake of Fire. That is final no excuses, no exceptions, no second chances, that is it Eternal Judgement.
Will you be there?
Before this happens there is the Judgement Seat of Christ as we read in;

Romans 14vs.10 .....for we shall all stand before the judgment seat of Christ.

Romans 14 vs.12  So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God.

2 Corinthians 5 vs.10  For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.

Christians, people whose names are written in the Lambs Book of Life. Will be assessed by Him and rewarded according to their lives for Him.

John 3 vs.36  He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.

If you repent and put your faith in Jesus Christ it means that He has born the Great White Throne judgement for you, you will not be there or have to face it. Because He bore the wrath of God on the cross in your place.
We shall be with Him and shall be like him forever.

1 Corinthians 2 vs.9  But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.

I said at the beginning that there was a choice, it’s not a choice that takes a lot of thinking about.
Eternal life or Eternal death.
Heaven or Hell.
Jesus or Satan.
Reward or punishment.
Forgiveness or accountability.

If the Spirit of God is working in your heart and convicting you of your sin and your need of Christ take this opportunity with both hands you might not get another chance.
Revelation 22 vs.1  And he shewed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb.
2  In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.
3  And there shall be no more curse: but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it; and his servants shall serve him:
4  And they shall see his face; and his name shall be in their foreheads.
5  And there shall be no night there; and they need no candle, neither light of the sun; for the Lord God giveth them light: and they shall reign for ever and ever.

Revelation 22 vs.20 He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus.

There is coming a day when no heartaches shall come,
No more clouds in the sky, no more tears to dim the eye;
All is peace for evermore on that happy golden shore,
What a day glorious day that will be!

There'll be no sorrow there, no more burdens to bear,
No more sickness, no more pain, no more parting over there;
And forever I will be with the One who died for me.
What a day glorious day that will be!

What a day that will be when my Saviour I shall see!
And I look upon His face, the One who saved me by His grace;
When He takes me by the hand, and leads me through the promised land.
What a day glorious day that will be!
