Gospel Meeting 30/08/2015

Mr. Steve Davies gave a report on his and Gill's work in Dar-es-Salaam Tanzania, how that many children and their families are hearing and learning the Word of God at the Kindergarten and the kids clubs.
In the evening Steve read Luke 23 vs.33-34.
33  And when they were come to the place, which is called Calvary, there they crucified him, and the malefactors, one on the right hand, and the other on the left.
34  Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do.
1/ THERE.
2/ THEY.
3/ CRUCIFIED.
4/ HIM.

1/ Calvary, Golgotha, The Place of a Skull, The Place of Execution. Pain, suffering, death. Normally the place of no return. In our sin we are facing a place of no return.

2/ The Sadducees, The Pharisees, Abandoned the His own disciples, Denied by Peter, Jewish leaders, Roman Governor, Herod, The Jewish People cried Crucify Him Crucify Him.
They found no fault in Him and yet condemned Him. They freed Barabbas and set the Lord Jesus at naught.

3/ They put nails through His hands and feet, it was an awful death, they hung Him up to die.

4/ Jesus of Nazareth, King of the Jews, Jesus - Saviour. Born of a virgin.
He blessed people with His preaching, His miracles, healing etc.
Immanuel  God with us, God the Saviour.
Yet He was despised and rejected of men.
He saved others but not Himself.
2 Corinthians 5 vs.21  For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

Isaiah 53 vs.3  He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not.
4 ¶  Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.
5  But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.
6  All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.
7  He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth: he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so he openeth not his mouth.
Whosoever believes and turns from their sin, He paid the price for us.
He rose again and is alive. What is your response to God's love.
God's Salvation means; Eternal Life, Forgiveness, Cleansing, Freedom from guilt, Joy, Peace, Indwelt by the Holy Spirit, Daily strength etc. etc.
What will you do with Jesus who is called Christ.

Acts 16 vs.31  And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved,
He may return or you may die so your decision is urgent.

Gospel Meeting 23/08/2015

Mr.John Clegg read 1 Corinthians 15 vs.3-10, 12-20 and 51-58.
1/ CHRIST DIED FOR OUR SINS.
2/ AND THAT HE WAS BURIED.
3/ AND THAT HE ROSE AGAIN.
4/ AND THAT HE WAS SEEN.
5/ AND HE IS COMING AGAIN.

Christ is the Saviour and Lord, We are sinners but He never sinned. He didn't deserve to be on the cross, but He died for our sin and paid the price that God demanded.
He was buried - proof of His death.
John 10 vs.18 No man taketh it from me, but I lay it down of myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This commandment have I received of my Father.
He is risen and ascended to Heaven. Hell is a real place.
He was seen by His own up to 500 at once.
He is coming again we don't know when so it is urgent.
2 Corinthians 6 vs.2  behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.
You need to be saved now and know you are going to Heaven not Hell.

Gospel Meeting 16/08/2015

Mr.David Cartwright read Romans 10 vs.1-13.
There was a dramatic change in Paul's life, and there needs to be a change in our lives too.
Acts 16 vs. 30 .....what must I do to be saved?
31  And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved,.....
Paul suffered greatly at the hands of the Jews, but his hearts desire and his prayer to God was that they might be saved.
They had a zeal for God but were ignorant of His righteousness.
They were trying to establish their own righteousness.
They didn't know Jesus Christ and had no time for Him.
To miss Christ is to miss everything, everything is in Him, He is the only way to be saved.
John 14 vs.6  Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
We need to have a personal relationship with Him.
Jesus died on the cross and that is the only means whereby God can forgive us and we can be saved.
Don't reject Christ embrace Him .
Death, Darkness all our iniquity was laid on Him.
Romans 10 vs.9  That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
10  For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

13  For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

That you might know Him.

Gospel Meeting 09/08/2015

Mr. Joshua Kaye read John 8 vs.34-36, 2 Peter 1 vs.1, Matthew 6 vs.24 and
Joshua 24 vs.15 And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.
You have a choice to be saved or lost, to be a servant of sin or a servant of God. It must be one or the other there is no sitting on the fence.
The Son will set you free, or you will be a slave to sin - in bondage.
You can have liberty in Christ be free indeed.
We are all born in sin and are slaves to it we are all lost and going to Hell. But we can turn to God and become a child of God and go to Heaven in the presence of God for ever.
Sin is against God, it is disobedience to God and He must punish sin. His standard is perfection. Don't leave God out of your life.
Sin is not just the bad things we do it is also the good things we don't do.
You can go from being a slave to sin to being a child of God through repentance and faith. He bled and died to take away our sin so that we could be reconciled to God.
1 John 1 vs.7 the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.
He is alive and we should live for Him, He changes lives let Him change yours but it's all or nothing.
Acts 9 vs.6 And he trembling and astonished said, Lord, what wilt thou have me to do?

Gospel Meeting 02/08/2015

Mr. Stephen Downes read Isaiah 53 vs.1-12
"Who Put Jesus Christ on the Cross."
Was it Judas? - He played his part but he what he did fulfilled the Scriptures.
Was it the Jews? They played their part they didn't like it that Jesus claimed to be the Son of God and also the Messiah.
Pilate said "I find no fault in Him."
Was it the Romans? They played their part but the Saviour said;  John 19:11 Jesus answered, Thou couldest have no power at all against me, except it were given thee from above:

Who then? He was the Lamb slain before the foundation of the Earth.
God put Him on the cross, He came to be the Saviour of men.
Sin entered the world through Adam and death by sin. We are sinners by nature and by practice.
He is the creator  and He entered death to pay the price for our sin.
My sins put Him on the cross. You need to make a decision to accept or reject Him.
You need to acknowledge that you need a Saviour, repent of your sin and put your complete faith and trust in Him.
God loves you and He died to save you, your sins will be Eternally forgiven and you will be on the way to Heaven when you are saved.
John 3 vs.36  He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.
