Gospel Meeting 27/07/2014

Mr. Neil Bedford read Psalm 148
"Praise the Lord"
The Almighty God and the King of Kings reaches out in love grace and mercy calling all to faith and repentance.
He is not someone to fear He saved the Israelites from slavery through the blood of a lamb and we can be saved through the precious blood of the Lord Jesus who died on the cross at Calvary. He is a merciful giver.
He keeps His promises, He work through His Spirit and His word. He removes our sin from us as far as the east is from the west.
Are you experiencing the joy of the Lord, God's goodness is not dependent on our circumstances. Fully surrender all to Him and give Him all the praise.

Gospel Meeting 20/07/2014

Mr. Alistair Patterson read Matthew 11 vs.25-30.
Come, Take, Learn.
1/ The invitation of Jesus.
2/ The promise of Jesus.
3/ The instruction of Jesus.
4/ The example of Jesus.
Jesus has all power and authority nothing is too hard for Him, He is not one among others is is alone in His worth, so when He says come unto me it is something to take notice of.
Do we have a burden either as a sinner who needs Salvation or as a believer going through trials He is the one to answer our needs. There must be an acknowledgement of our need.
He will give us rest, we will be refreshed, revived, relieved.
The person of Jesus offers us rest through trust in Him.
His yoke is easy and His burden light, coupled together involves obedience and submission.
Galatians 2 vs.20  I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.
We should follow the example of Jesus and be disciples follow His teaching, and be gentle and lowly.

Gospel Meeting 13/07/2014

Mr. Bruce Clark read Luke 12 vs.13-21 and Romans 8 vs.1-14
Earthly and Heavenly.
1/ An empty form of dead religion, always needing more. Accumulation.
2/ An inward power from the risen Christ, Kenosis an emptying of yourself as Christ did.

You can have a form of religion but no power more things don't mean more satisfaction materially or spiritually oneupmansship or looking down on others is not right. We don't need to impress God or others to achieve righteousness.
There is no condemnation in Christ, Christ's righteousness is our righteousness.
We come empty handed God's grace and goodness grows in us.
We are redeemed by His blood which He shed at the cross.
The Spirit gives us life.

Gospel Meeting 06/07/2014

Mr. Alex Collins read Psalm 24
Jesus King of Kings and Lord of Lords
The king of the Jews was crucified for you and me.
All things were made by Him and for Him.
Man's purpose in life is to glorify and serve God if you are not doing that then your life is vain and worthless.
We have been made for Eternity but only Jesus Christ meets the criteria to ascend the hill of the Lord or stand in in His holy place.
Heaven is closed to us because of our sin but Jesus entered Heaven after Calvary and if we repent and put our faith in Him and His work there we can enter through Him.
He is the Lord Almighty.
