Gospel Meeting 21/07/2013

Mr. David Flett read Luke 2 vs.1-20, Acts16 vs.16-34, and Matthew 19 vs.16-22.
There were three headings: A Saviour Born.
                                            A Saviour Accepted.
                                            A Saviour Rejected.
A Saviour Born.
We all need a Saviour because all have sinned, so God sent His Beloved Son who is Holy and without sin because He loves us and doesn't want us to die in our sin. He left the highest place and took the lowest place and died on a cross. He didn't become a Saviour He was born a Saviour the lovely man Christ Jesus.

A Saviour Accepted.
The Jailor was in a state of desperation and he cried out "Sirs what must I do to be saved" he knew he needed a Saviour, there is only one way to get saved and that is by faith in the Lord Jesus. "Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God." His life was changed from a harsh Jailor to a caring person.

A Saviour Rejected.
He was a good man but there was one thing holding him back it was his riches. God knows us individually it might not be riches holding us back but something else whatever it is its not worth preventing you from trusting Jesus as your Saviour. "He must increase I must decrease." It is not by being good or doing good it is by faith and all the Glory belongs to Him.
