Gospel Meeting 16/11/2014

Mr.Stuart Gordon read Ecclesiastes 12 vs.1, Genesis 40 vs.14 and 23, Luke 22 vs.31-34 and vs.60-62, Luke 23 vs.39-43, and Hebrews 10 vs.17.

Ecclesiastes 12 vs.1 Remember now thy Creator in the days of thy youth,
Joseph had passed through some difficult circumstances but God knew and God was with him.
The butlers circumstances improved but he forgot Joseph, do we only remember God when things are hard, or do we have nothing to do with Him and then blame Him when things go wrong.
Our lives depend on God even our very breath.

Peter was a very close disciple of the Lord Jesus but he denied Him. The Lord looked at Peter and he realised what he had done and wept.
Mark 16 vs.7 But go your way, tell his disciples and Peter that he goeth before you into Galilee: there shall ye see him, as he said unto you.
The Lord had compassion for Peter He still loved him.

The thief.
Luke 23 vs.40  But the other answering rebuked him, saying, Dost not thou fear God, seeing thou art in the same condemnation?
41  And we indeed justly; for we receive the due reward of our deeds: but this man hath done nothing amiss.
Jesus was bearing our sin in His body on the tree, He was made sin for us, He died to take away our sin God poured out the judgement for our sin on Him.

Hebrews 10 vs.17  And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more.
He paid the price now we must repent and believe on Him, or we will face the consequences of our sin and take the judgement of God for it ourselves.
