Gospel Meeting 18/09/2016

Mr. Paul Frankish read Proverbs 3 vs.1-18, 1 Timothy 4 vs.7-16,
vs.8  For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.
Godliness, Holiness, Godly Teaching, Pleasing God all the time.

Hebrews 11 vs.6  But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

We have a broken relationship with God we are dead in sin.

Ephesians 2 vs.4 But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us,
5  Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;)

When we are saved we have a different life and we must mature into Christlikeness.
It won't always be easy, you will face opposition.
Jesus is the Son of God, we must believe and be saved and then we are on our way to Heaven.
How do we please God; praying, reading scripture, telling others, sharing fellowship, doing good and sharing, giving thanks.
We shall be made like Him.

1 Timothy 6 vs.11  But thou, O man of God, flee these things; and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness.
12  Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses.
