GOSPEL MEETING 05/05/2013

Mr David Heyhoe from Hull read Exodus 26 vs.15-30 and Acts 2 vs.11-24 &36-47
David started off following our recent "theme" of "the way" the only way to God is through the Lord Jesus and His death for us.
Then he spoke about the boards and the bars in the Tabernacle representing those who make up the Church and the things that link us together and he mentioned that it was and is the place where God dwells and has His presence.
 Acts 2 vs.42 ¶  And they continued stedfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers.
The 4 bars;
                 Doctrine - "thy word is truth" teaching beware of Satan's subtle attacks.
                 Fellowship - care and support for each other not expecting from others without being prepared to give.
                 Breaking Bread - always remember the Lord's death till He come, precious times.
                 Prayers - dependence on God for guidance not always asking but worshiping.
The 5th bar within speaks of the Holy Spirit which ties us together and brings unity and togetherness we are tied together.
We should continue steadfastly in these things to the glory of God and our spiritual wellbeing.
