Gospel Meeting 06/03/2016

Mr. Phillip Gibson read 1 Samuel 24 vs.1-22.
Do we ever feel like we are in the wilderness, do we ever feel pushed into a corner.
David gets an opportunity for revenge on Saul, but his conscience was clear he trusted God, his followers gave him some convincing advice but it was not good or correct advice. Make sure you know what God is saying, and what His word teaches it is easy to be misled by others.

2 Corinthians 1 vs.12 For our rejoicing is this, the testimony of our conscience, that in simplicity and godly sincerity, not with fleshly wisdom, but by the grace of God, we have had our conversation in the world, and more abundantly to you-ward.

Matthew 5 vs.44 But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;

Romans 12 vs.17  Recompense to no man evil for evil. Provide things honest in the sight of all men.

19 Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.

Psalm 18 vs.30 As for God, his way is perfect: the word of the LORD is tried: he is a buckler to all those that trust in him.

We need a clear conscience before God, but we are sinners that is why Jesus died. He cried "It is Finished" He completed the work of dealing with our sin, He died in our place to make us right with God. We should cast ourselves upon Him in repentance and faith.
