Gospel Meeting 08/07/2018

Proverbs ch14 vs12.
Psalms ch8.
The Acts ch4 vs12.

When we consider the immensity of all that Almighty God has created around us and stretching out into the universe, it is amazing that He is still completely caring and concerned about little you and me!
Even sat in this Hall tonight, His presence is among us. Our God is truly awesome – He knows every single thing about you -  and knows you are a sinner. Just one sin will absolutely keep you from going to Heaven when your life here has ended. God is entirely holy and detests all and any sin.
No – one on this beautiful Earth can say they have never sinned… yet God still loves us!

“For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God”. – Romans ch3 vs23.

There is no point comparing ourselves to anyone else and saying “Well, he is worse than me”, or “I do lots of nice things to help people” …

“All of us have become like one who is unclean, and all our righteous acts are like filthy rags; we all shrivel up like a leaf, and like the wind our sins sweep us away”.
-    Isaiah ch64 vs6.

We are simply not good enough – and our sins are a real big problem.

God in His great love towards mankind has provided a way for each of us to be forgiven for all our sins and be made fit to enter Heaven.
That one way, the only way, is by The Cross …

God sent His well beloved Son Jesus Christ into this world. The One by whom all things were made (John’s Gospel ch1 vs1 – 5), came and was born of a virgin. The child grew into a Man, never ceasing to be God, and lived a completely sinless life.

Jesus Christ did not only come to visit us, but to save us from the guilt and penalty of all our sins.

“And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins”. – Matthew’s Gospel ch1 vs25.

“And we have seen and do testify that the Father sent the Son to be the Saviour of the world”.
– 1st John ch4 vs14.

In His love, grace and mercy, Jesus Christ came to save all who will accept Him, from the reality of an eternal Hell - the place all go to who’s sins have not been forgiven.

Jesus Christ laid down His sinless life on Calvary’s Cross, to pay the price and take the punishment of our sins for us. He alone was able to make atonement for all our sins – past, present and future.
Wholly accepted, God raised Him from the dead after three days.

Words were not enough!
The Lord Jesus Christ had to give His precious blood that we could be forgiven …

“For you know that it was not with perishable things such as silver and gold that you were redeemed from the empty way of life handed down to you from your ancestors, but with the precious blood of Christ, a lamb without blemish or defect”.
-   1st Peter ch1 vs18 – 19.

“But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ cleanseth us from all sin”.
-    1st John ch1 vs7.

Friend, will you take that personal step tonight and in faith accept Jesus Christ as your Saviour? Will you simply confess that you have sinned, and in repentance ask Him to forgive you? The work has been done, the price has been paid – but you must make your own individual decision to accept it! He is mighty to save and welcomes you with open arms!

The Lord Jesus Christ has conquered sin, death and Hell!

“I am he that liveth, and was dead, and, behold, I am alive for evermore…”
-   The Revelation ch1 vs18.

“O Lord our Lord, how excellent is thy name in all the earth!”
-  Psalms ch8 vs 9.

AMEN!!
