Gospel Meeting 24/01/2016

Mr. Graham Swift read Hebrews 6 vs.1-6, and John 8 vs.31-36.
John 8 vs.36 If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.
2 cages
Are we imprisoned by our own pride and what others think of  us, or are we a backslider. Does our sin sadden us or do we excuse it?
Are we just professers or are we genuinely saved? If we are saved and have just been ensnared God will bring us through, but if our Salvation is just a pretense the we need to repent and put our faith in Jesus Christ.

Sin is a heart problem, we are going against God's Holy Law. God has given us a conscience but we can override it, we are captives of sin. We need to see ourselves as we are but we can never work out our own Salvation.
It needed the Saviour to shed His blood and die, He gained the victory for us at Calvary. We must repent and believe then we are sinners saved by grace.
