Jonathan Scarsbrook (Killamarsh) spoke about being born again, that is being born spiritually, from John Chapter 3 verses 1-17. In the chapter Nicodemus asks Jesus how its possible to be born again. We may be physically alive yet spiritually dead. The Bible tells us we are dead in our trespasses and sins but we can be made alive through faith in Jesus Christ (Ephesians Ch. 2 v. 5). It is through faith in Jesus that we can experience this new birth.
Jonathan also spoke about four other people in the Bible who came to know Jesus.
The thief on the cross beside Jesus believed on Him and went to heaven.
Saul, who persecuted Christians, was challenged by God on the road to Damascus and he believed and was saved.
Lydia a business women heard the gospel through Paul and she believed.
A jailer who was in charge of looking after Paul and Silas when they were thrown in prison believed. He asked them what he must do to be saved. They answered him and said, "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved."
