John Walls from the fellowship spoke on the Parable of the Sower (Matthew Ch.13).
The sower are Christians who spread the word of God.
The seed is the word of God.
The seed that fell by the wayside is like the careless hearer who hears the gospel but does not believe and Satan comes and takes away the truth from their heart.
The stony ground is like those who make a profession of faith in Christ but give up when trials come, because they have no roots. We as believers need to put down roots through our relationship with Jesus Christ and through meditation on His Word. This will help us endure the trials that will come.
The thorny ground is like those who are occupied by the things of this world and who pursue riches. This chokes any spiritual life that they have. We as Christians are to keep ourselves separate from the world and are not to seek to be rich in this world but rich towards God.
The good ground yields three amounts of fruit; 30 fold, 60 fold and a 100 fold. This speaks to us of the true believer. The seed of the word of God has been planted, takes root and produces fruit. Depending on our love for God and our obedience to Him will determine how fruitful we are in Christian service.
Be doers of the word and not hearers only. James Ch 1 v.22.
