17 And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.
1/ The priority is Jesus.
2/ The power of Jesus.
3/ The preeminence of Jesus.
4/ The person of Jesus.
5/ The purchase Jesus made.
Jesus is the Son of God who is before all things chronologically, and in rank and importance.
Jesus created all things and sustains all things. Sin brought death, Jesus brought righteousness and life.
He is the firstborn by rank, His name is above every name, He is preeminent.
Who is the image of the invisible God, For it pleased the Father that in him should all fulness dwell;
external, internal and eternal.
Jesus redeemed us by blood, His death and shed blood satisfied a righteous God on our behalf.
We are redeemed, forgiven, reconciled, and have peace with God if we are in the good of His Salvation.
We are transferred and transformed.
We should strive in prayer.
Jesus is and must be at the centre, Is He our priority.
