Gospel Meeting 22/06/2014

Mr. Keith Clayton read Numbers 21 vs.4-9 and John 3 vs.14-21
The Serpent on a Pole.
Keith began by giving an outline of the experiences of the Children of Israel from slavery to the wilderness including the Passover and the Red Sea highlighting the many wonderful things that God had done for them and how special they were to Him.
The people were always moaning they would always take from God but were reluctant to give anything back to Him.
It is the same today people have a wrong idea of God, they blame God for everything and yet don't feel any accountability to Him. God hates sin and must punish it our sin brings judgement.
The people confessed and repented and God provided a way of escape from the snake bites.
Romans 6 vs.23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
We need to confess and repent and have a right relationship with God through faith and belief in the finished work of the Lord Jesus on the cross where He shed His blood for us. He died for our sin not His own.
Like the Israelites we should look and live, there is no worth in ourselves it is all of Christ.
God's grace brings Salvation through faith.
